Doctors Pramudji, Selzman, Anhalt, Krishnan, Kalish and Cook
Melvyn A. Anhalt, M.D., FACS
Dr. Anhalt is a native of Fayette, Alabama and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Alabama. He subsequently attended The Medical College of Alabama and completed his urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 1971.
Dr. Anhalt has received numerous honors during his career including Staff Man of the Year at Baylor College of Medicine in 1974 and Chief of Staff at Memorial City Medical Center in 1986. He is the Medical Director of the Incontinence Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Memorial City and is past president of the Houston Urologic Society. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1974.
Dr. Anhalt is particularly interested in urologic malignancies as well as female and pediatric urology. His personal interests include golf, bridge and skiing.
Mark D. Kalish, M.D., FACS
Dr. Kalish was born in Lakeland, Florida and received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 1966. He attended Meharry Medical College and then completed a urology residency at The University of Michigan in 1975 following a tour of duty in the Navy. Dr's Kalish and Anhalt are the original members of Memorial Urology Associates. Dr. Kalish is the former Chief of Urology at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Memorial City. He received certification by the American Board of Urology in 1978.
Dr. Kalish has expertise in all aspects of urology with particular interest in prostate diseases, infertility, incontinence and stone disease. His interests outside urology include many outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and skiing.
Paul C. Cook, M.D., M.B.A.
Dr. Cook was born in Warwick, England and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Arlington and attended medical school at The University of Texas at Houston. He completed his urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 1989 and joined Memorial Urology Associates in July of that year.
Dr. Cook has held numerous positions at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Memorial City including: Chief of Urology, Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Vice-President of the Medical Staff and Chief of Staff in 1996. He has also held numerous positions with the Memorial Hermann Health Care System including appointments to the Board of Directors. He was voted Physician of the Year by the hospital staff of Memorial Hermann Hospital-Memorial City in 1995. Dr. Cook is the former Medical Director of the Outpatient Surgery Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Memorial City and the former Chief of Staff at Houston Town and Country Hospital. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1991 and recertified in 2000. Dr. Cook received his M.B.A. from LeTourneau University in 1999.
Dr. Cook's interests include all aspects of urology especially male infertility and pediatric urology.
Dr. Cook has been a licensed pilot since 1972 and enjoys flying with his wife and their two children. He is also an active skydiver licensed by the United States Parachute Association (C-30392).
Andrew A. Selzman, M.D.
Dr. Selzman is a native Houstonian and graduate of Memorial High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Trinity University and attended The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. Dr. Selzman completed his urology training at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio and joined Memorial Urology Associates in 1995. Dr. Selzman is the author of over 15 publications and has also co-authored several chapters in textbooks of urology. He obtained certification from the American Board of Urology in 1997.
Dr. Selzman is trained in all aspects of adult and pediatric urology. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures such as laparoscopic kidney, bladder and prostate surgery, urologic cancer surgery and reconstructive urology.
Dr. Selzman's personal interests include golf and time with his wife and their three children.
Ramesh Krishnan, M.D.
Dr. Krishnan was born in Zambia, Africa and grew up in Houston, Texas. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, he attended The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
Dr. Krishnan received his urology training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he also completed a fellowship in erectile dysfunction and impotence. He joined Memorial Urology Associates in January of 2000.
Dr. Krishnan is the author of several scientific papers and textbook articles published in various urologic journals and textbooks. Additionally, he has helped train urologists during a missionary trip to Tanzania.
Dr. Krishnan is interested in all aspects of adult and pediatric urology with special emphasis on incontinence, erectile dysfunction, Peyronies disease and penile reconstructive surgery. He obtained certification from the American Board of Urology in 2002.
Dr. Krishnan is an avid tennis player as well as a proud supporter of the Texas Aggies.
Christina K. Pramudji, M.D.
Dr. Pramudji was born in Irving, Texas. After graduating Cum Laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering, she attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her residency in urology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and joined Memorial Urology Associates in August, 2002.
Dr. Pramudji has done extensive research on gene therapy and tumor immunology and has either published or presented her findings at several national meetings. Although she is trained in all aspects of adult and pediatric urology, she has a particular interest in the unique needs of the female urology patient. She achieved board certification by the American Board of Urology in 2004.
Dr. Pramudji is an active member of her church and has participated in medical mission trips to third world countries. In her spare time she enjoys being with her husband, their two children, and their Bichon dogs.
Alan W. Skolnick, M.D.
Dr. Skolnick received his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and attended Chicago Medical School. Following residency training at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, he established his urology practice in Houston in 1972. Dr. Skolnick joined Memorial Urology Associates in May of 2003.
Dr. Skolnick is the former Chief of Staff of Columbia Rosewood Medical Center and has served as President of the Southwest Branch of the Harris County Medical Society. Additionally, he has served on numerous local and state medical society committees and is currently a delegate to the Texas Medical Association.
David Kent, M.D.
Dr. Kent graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston after receiving his undergraduate degree from Texas Lutheran University. He completed his urology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where he is currently an assistant professor.
Dr. Kent conducted research during his training at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center that he presented to the American Urologic Association South Central Section meeting in Ireland. He is interested in all aspects of adult and pediatric urology, particularly female urology and urologic oncology.
